In this talk, internationally renowned rollercoaster engineer John Roberts looks at the history of rollercoasters and the engineering calculations that have gone into designing some of the world’s leading rides. John's Biog

John Roberts is based in the Manchester office of Jacobs, an international engineering firm. He is one of the UK’s leading theme park engineers, with projects including the London Eye, and the ‘Big One’ at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. He is also a Visiting Professor of Engineering Design at Manchester University.
